FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PANTARHIT® 45 S (BV) is a plasticizer with retarding properties and especially suitable for producing concrete in the consistency class S3 in ready-mix-concrete plants.

Having retarding properties PANTARHIT® 45 S (BV) allows the extension of concrete’s transportation time and lengthens its workability.

PANTARHIT® 45 S (BV) has good plasticizing effects which are able to transform plastic concrete (S2) into very soft concrete (S4).

WORKING PRINCIPLE

PANTARHIT® 45 S (BV) reduces the surface tension of water which might allow high water savings and an increase of concrete’s pressure strength. The retardation of the hydration process ensures an extended workability.

DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY

Recommended dosage range 0.2 – 1.6 mass-% of the cement content;
is equivalent to 2 – 14 ml per kg cement.

The retardation of the hydration process depends on dosage, temperature and cement sort and varies accordingly to these parameters.
